When a Mommy and Daddy love each other very much.... they do laundry!

I have come to the conculsion that there is a sexual nature to laundry.

I know! Surprised me too! Yes, I am talking about laundry, that horrible, nasty, unforgiving, never ending chore; has a sexual nature.

So how did I come to this warped conclusion? Well, lets take a look.

~Laundry will always be there calling your name.... in that cute little coy voice that it uses. You know the voice. It's that Hannibal Lector meets Antonio Banderas voice, so sexy yet so very dangerous.
"Honey, I am waiting. I'm right here... you know you want to do me...."

~ Laundry is very particular about it's likes.... some loads like it hot... and the really "special" loads like it cold. The spin cycle... well you get the idea!

~Washing; you can pretty much guarantee the time, start to finish.

~Drying, well, that may take all day!

~Some loads require extras to get your whites whiter and you loads smelling fresh.

~There is a presoak and an extra rinse cycle on the washing machine.

~There are timed cycles on the dryer and some loads just need to be fluffed.

~Finally, no matter how many loads you do, there will always more.

Strawberry Swing

I am a huge Coldplay fan! I just saw this video and had to share it with the rest of you!

My favorite line : "Oh, the sky could blue, I don't mind but without you it's just a waste of time"

Car Seat Covers

I recently discovered how to make car seat covers! So last weekend I pulled out my sewing machine, fabric, Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice... the Colin Firth Version of course) and got to work!

This is part of a baby present being sent to Washington for a friend of mine. It is a three piece set (car seat cover, recieving blanket and a cloth covered diaper wipes (small) box. )

I rummaged more through my box and discovered fabric that I had not touched in three years!!
I call this one: Send in the Clowns. I just love the simple bold colors that I used.

Side 2
The purple butterflies took me about three hours since it was my first. Send in the clowns took me two! I had a lot of cutting to do. In the process of all of this, my daughter learned about Mr. Darcy and I rediscovered my sewing machine. I have more fabric calling my name and like all busy moms... just gotta make a couple of quiet hours in the evening to sew some more!
I am starting to make these to sell. So if you are interested or know someone who is leave your name and email in the comments and I will contact you!
